In Kharkiv, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with school and university students at the Litera Youth Hub, which operates at the regional children’s library.
The hub hosts lectures, workshops, and training sessions. School students can undergo free preparation for the National Multisubject Test, play board games, and watch films. The space was created to ensure that even during wartime, young people have the opportunity to grow and communicate in person.
The hub also features a recording studio where podcasts can be produced. The President appeared as a guest on an episode of the podcast “Challenges Facing Youth in the Kharkiv Region.”
“From the beginning of the war, it was incredibly important not to lose the unity of our state. I believe we preserved Ukraine and its independence precisely because of that,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Head of State and the podcast hosts – Vira Bondar, Ivan Kurylo, and Maksym Nahlyi – spoke about the impact of Russia’s full-scale invasion on young people, the recovery of Kharkiv after the war, and the values of Ukrainian youth.
“Our warriors are defending the Kharkiv region and all of Ukraine so that life can return – full life. Kharkiv has always been a city of youth. I’ve always been one hundred percent confident in Kharkiv. And that’s exactly what Kharkiv is – strong and self-assured,” the President said.
The library also hosts a space with an ESTEAM lab – an environment that brings together entrepreneurship, science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. Here, young people can gain new skills using equipment such as a heat press, laser cutter, VR headsets, and a 3D printer.
