In Paris, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with President of France Emmanuel Macron.
The Head of State congratulated Emmanuel Macron on the start of France’s presidency of the G7 and thanked him for organizing the meeting of the Coalition of the Willing, which will be held today in Paris.
The leaders discussed the current diplomatic situation, cooperation with the American negotiating team, and coordinated their positions ahead of further discussions with partners.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Emmanuel Macron devoted separate and detailed attention to protecting Ukraine from Russian missile and drone attacks. The President of Ukraine informed his counterpart of our country’s needs for additional air defense systems and missiles for them.
The Head of State emphasized that as long as Russia shows no steps toward peace, it is important to continue helping Ukraine and Ukrainians defend themselves against Russian attacks.
