President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the ceremony of commemoration of the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine killed during the ATO and JFO in the east of Ukraine.
The ceremony took place near the Hall of Remembrance at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine. It was attended by relatives and friends of the victims, the military, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the Chief of General Staff. During the event, the names of 49 soldiers were read, who died on June 14, 2014, in an airplane crash of IL-76, shot down near Luhansk. The attendees also honored the memory of five soldiers who died this day in different years of the war protecting the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
The feat of every defender was honored with a bell strike and a salvo by the warriors of the honor guard.
After that, the attendees put flowers to the Memorial Bell.
In the Hall of Remembrance, the warriors of the honor guard in the presence of the Head of State turned the page of the Book of Remembrance to June 14, which lists the names of the heroes killed on this day.
