President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed two decrees enacting the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine regarding the synchronization of the EU’s 19th sanctions package and the introduction of restrictions on Russian entities engaged in Arctic resource extraction.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva, met with a delegation from the European Union led by Benedikta von Seherr-Thoss, Managing Director at European External Action Service for Peace, Security and Defense, and Herald Ruijters, Deputy Director General of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defense Industry and Space.

A great deal of work with partners is currently underway – primarily for the sake of our air defense and our energy sector, which are key priorities amid such Russian strikes. Practically every day, our power engineers, repair brigades, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine are carrying out restorations on-site after attacks.

The First Lady of Ukraine, together with the team of the Olena Zelenska Foundation and partners, visited large foster families in the Poltava region who received humanitarian aid from the Foundation this autumn.
