Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Ihor Zhovkva, held a briefing for Ambassadors of the Nordic-Baltic Eight countries (Denmark, Estonia, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Finland, and Sweden).

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Iryna Mudra, met with the Director of Human Rights at the Directorate General of Human Rights and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe, Clare Ovey.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Zhovkva met with Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France Anne-Marie Descôtes to coordinate positions ahead of the European Council meeting scheduled for October 23. The meeting followed a recent phone call between President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of France Emmanuel Macron.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Ihor Brusylo held a meeting with an Irish delegation led by Gerard Keown, Political Director at Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.

Presidential Commissioner for the Protection of the Rights of Military Personnel and Their Families Olha Reshetylova (Kobylynska) took part in the International Conference of Ombuds Institutions for the Armed Forces (ICOAF), which this year was held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Advisor – Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk and First Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Sergiy Kyslytsya held a meeting with representatives of the embassies of G7 countries.

Adviser – Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Sanctions Policy, Vladyslav Vlasiuk, met with a delegation from the UK-based organization Conflict Armament Research (CAR), which traces the supply of weapons, ammunition, and military equipment used in hostilities around the world.

Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Iryna Vereshchuk took part in a meeting of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Ihor Zhovkva met with the chairs of the European and Foreign Affairs Committees of the parliaments of Denmark, Ireland, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Finland, and Sweden, led by Vice-President of the European Parliament Esteban Pons.

Among the proposals are additional sanctions targeting the energy and financial sectors, the confiscation of frozen Russian assets, and restrictions on Russia’s access to Western military technologies.
