Ahead of Education Workers’ Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with students and teachers at a lyceum in the Kyiv region. Because of the threat of Russian strikes, classes had to be held in the shelter this morning.

In September, the foreign policy work of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy focused primarily on strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, expanding defense cooperation with partners, supporting Ukraine’s energy sector and resilience ahead of the winter period.

The main topics of discussion were Ukraine’s urgent financial and defense needs, strengthening air defense, opening the remaining four negotiating clusters in the EU accession process, and increasing sanctions pressure on Russia.

The Head of State thanked Japan for its strong and unwavering support for Ukraine since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion and emphasized that Ukraine greatly values all the economic and humanitarian support.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke with the principal and teachers of a school that Russia struck with a “shahed” this morning. The strike caused a fire, partially destroyed a wall of the building, and damaged windows and doors.

On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated students of military lyceums and security-oriented lyceums of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on taking the Lyceum Student Oath.

Advisor – Commissioner of the President of Ukraine for Sanctions Policy Vladyslav Vlasiuk held a meeting with representatives of civil society organizations engaged in analytical research and advocacy for sanctions against Russia.

On the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy honored the memory of fallen Ukrainian warriors.

This is where independence is won. And the path to peace runs through these very labyrinths, these very corridors. And when we say, “Ukraine is holding on,” this resilience begins right here at the front, in command posts like this and at every one of our positions – where Ukraine is – because Ukraine has defenders.

Ahead of the Day of Defenders of Ukraine, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Ukrainian warriors, presented them with state awards and military ranks, and presented combat flags, “For Courage and Bravery” ribbons, and ribbons bearing honorary names to units of the Defense Forces.
