I received a report from the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Ihor Klymenko, on the work of our services that help Ukrainians in the aftermath of Russian strikes. Kherson came under brutal attack today: drones targeted civilian transport, and passenger minibuses were hit. Tragically, lives have been taken – my condolences to their families and loved ones. People have also been wounded, and all are receiving the necessary assistance.

The Head of State noted that strong relations between Ukraine and Slovakia are needed. Robert Fico added that he supports this approach and that his country is interested in it.

In April, the President of Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts focused on unlocking a EUR 90 billion financial assistance package for domestic weapons production and preparing the energy system for winter, strengthening cooperation with countries in the Middle East and the Caucasus – including ensuring diesel supplies for Ukrainian military and civilians – securing new contributions to the PURL initiative for the procurement of anti-ballistic missiles from the United States, and expanding cooperation with Europe to enhance the protection of lives and advance efforts toward building a European anti-ballistic defense system.

On the contact line, infantry must be provided with the strongest possible conditions. This will also apply to financial support. I have instructed that monthly contract levels for infantry on the contact line be set at 250,000 to 400,000 hryvnias.

A meeting was held at the Office of the President to address the launch of a new project by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development aimed at supporting the next stage of anti-corruption reforms in Ukraine.

On Border Guard Day, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with servicemembers of the State Border Guard Service, congratulated them on their professional holiday, presented state awards, and bestowed upon SBGS units the ribbons of the honorary distinction “For Courage and Valor.”

Russia has abducted thousands of Ukrainian children and is attempting to strip them of their national identity, which is why it is crucial to bring them home as quickly as possible, before the occupiers succeed in reshaping their minds. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during his address to participants of the Civil Society and Expert Day.
