On the day marking the fourth anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska, together with the European leaders visiting Kyiv today, prayed at Saint Sophia Cathedral for Ukrainians and a dignified peace in Ukraine.

On the fourth anniversary of the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree conferring state awards to volunteers, energy workers, teachers, medical professionals, journalists, cultural figures, and athletes.

Today marks exactly four years since Putin started his three-day push to take Kyiv. And that, in fact, says a great deal about our resistance, about how Ukraine has fought all this time. Behind those words stand millions of our people. Behind those words stand immense courage, incredibly hard work, endurance, and the long path Ukraine has been pursuing since February 24.

First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska met with the Special Envoy of the Secretary General of the Council of Europe on the situation of the children of Ukraine, Thórdís Gylfadóttir.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held his first phone call with the new Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten. The leaders discussed Ukraine’s most urgent needs: missiles for air defense systems and energy equipment. The President thanked him for the fact that Ukraine, as always, can count on the support of the Netherlands and assistance in protecting lives.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Włodzimierz Czarzasty.

On the eve of the fourth anniversary of the full-scale Russian invasion, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy awarded the Orders of the Golden Star to Heroes of Ukraine and handed the awards to the families of fallen Heroes, presented Ukrainian warriors with the Cross of Military Merit and other high state awards, and also presented units of the Defense Forces with combat flags, honorary distinction ribbons “For Courage and Bravery,” and honorary name ribbons.

Ukraine’s focus is on peace negotiations that must not only end the war but also prevent a recurrence of Russian aggression. This was stated by Kyrylo Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, during his speech at the Justice Conference in Kyiv.

First Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Sergiy Kyslytsya, met with the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ukraine, led by Alex Sobel.
