President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with His Beatitude Georgios, Archbishop of Nova Justiniana and All Cyprus, Primate of the Church of Cyprus.
During the meeting, the parties discussed specific issues relating to cooperation between Ukraine and the United States to achieve a just peace. Particular attention was paid to today’s meeting of the Coalition of the Willing and to the documents that were signed and approved as a result.
The President noted that the Coalition of the Willing has determined which countries are ready to take the lead in specific elements of security guarantees on land, in the air, at sea, and in the reconstruction of Ukraine.
Importantly, the Coalition now has substantive documents in place. This is not just rhetoric – there is concrete progress: a joint declaration by all Coalition countries, and a trilateral declaration by France, the United Kingdom, and Ukraine.
The SSU’s potential will grow further – specifically in the context of defending Ukraine, protecting our positions, and safeguarding national interests. Thank you to everyone who works in this way.
Ukraine will be prepared for both possible paths ahead – diplomacy, which we are pursuing, or continued active defense if the pressure from our partners on Russia proves insufficient.
