Our country expects that the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the European Union during the first half of next year will be historic in terms of opening negotiating clusters for Ukraine and adopting other necessary decisions.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides honored the memory of fallen Ukrainian defenders.

On the occasion of the Day of Missile and Artillery Forces, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with servicemembers, congratulated them on their professional holiday, and presented them with state awards – the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, I–III class, and the Orders “For Courage,” II and III class.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the athletes of Ukraine’s National Deaflympics Team, who won 100 medals – the highest medal count among all teams – at the 25th Summer Deaflympics in Tokyo, and presented them with state awards.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy heard a report from Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on preparations for the meetings with the national security advisors to European leaders, which will take place today, December 3, in Brussels.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska met with representatives of the UCD Centre for Emergency Medical Science (CEMS), a research and educational center within the School of Medicine at University College Dublin.

In Dublin, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, together with Taoiseach of Ireland Micheál Martin, took part in the first Irish-Ukrainian Economic Forum.

“We hold your children in the highest regard. I am very proud of them. Every time I present awards in Ukraine and see the families, the mothers and fathers, I feel this pain. And today, we want to share it with you. We are very proud of your strong people. They are heroes – all of them – true heroes. And not just for our country,” the President emphasized.

Key topics of discussion included the importance of unity, joint steps with partners to advance peace, and Ukraine’s European integration track.

“Today, Ukraine is closer to peace than ever before. And there is a real chance. But we must seize this chance fully – the whole world, not just one or another powerful country,” the Head of State stated.
