In the course of the Summit, we addressed a broad agenda to enhance regional security, including but not limited to the Black Sea region, resilience, and cooperation.

During the Ukraine – Southeast Europe Summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called on European partners to continue defense support for Ukraine, maintain unity and resilience against hybrid threats, strengthen cyber protection, and deepen cooperation in infrastructure development.

Strengthening cooperation at the interregional and intermunicipal levels is crucial for achieving a just and sustainable peace, as well as for Ukraine’s recovery and European integration. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his speech at the 3rd International Summit of Cities and Regions “United for Peace and Security,” held in Kyiv.

Among the honorees are journalists, hosts, editors, and cameramen who report on the war from the front lines and locations hit by Russian strikes, tell the world the truth about Ukraine’s struggle against Russian aggression, have joined the Security and Defense Forces, survived captivity, or were wounded in the line of duty as a result of Russian aggression – and those who, sadly, gave their lives for Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy informed the Chancellor about the second meeting in Istanbul and its one meaningful result — the exchange of prisoners. The Head of State emphasized that the Ukrainian delegation had also insisted on an unconditional ceasefire, the return of children, and a meeting at the highest level. However, Russia once again showed its unwillingness to end the war.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has proven by the Operation “Spiderweb” that the war is inflicting tangible losses and damage on the aggressor as well. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a meeting with SSU warriors who took part in the operation and thanked them for carrying it out.

On the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression and the Day of Remembrance for Children Killed as a Result of the Armed Aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska, together with the parents of deceased children and ambassadors of foreign states, honored the memory of young Ukrainians killed by Russia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that it is essential for the IAEA to be present at the Zaporizhzhia NPP in full compliance with international law. The President also stressed that any potential attempt by Russia to restart the reactors at the plant is unacceptable.

The children honored with the award had experienced occupation, deportation, and the loss of loved ones, provided aid to those in need; they also have been supporting Ukrainian defenders, and volunteering.

In Vilnius, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met for the first time with the new President of Romania, Nicușor Dan.
