President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a meeting with the mission of the International Monetary Fund in Kyiv. The meeting will take place next week, as planned.

"I am grateful to you for protecting Ukraine no matter where you are. Protecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy appointed Lieutenant General Ruslan Khomchak to the post of Chief of the General Staff - Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Head of State signed the corresponding decree today.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy with a request to convene an ad-hoc plenary session of the Parliament on Wednesday, May 22, and include in the agenda the consideration of the amendments to the laws of Ukraine "On Elections of People's Deputies of Ukraine" and "On Public Procurement".

Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, parliamentary factions and groups in the Presidential Administration of Ukraine.

Consultations with Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, his deputies Iryna Gerashchenko and Oksana Syroyid, and leaders of parliamentary factions and groups are being continued in the Presidential Administration.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with President of Latvia Raimonds Vējonis. Mr. Vējonis arrived in Ukraine to attend the solemn ceremony of inauguration of the newly elected President.

The parties discussed a wide range of issues of cooperation between Ukraine and the European Union, as well as counteraction to the Kremlin's aggression in Donbas, prospects of de-occupation of Crimea and holding of the next round of tripartite negotiations in the Ukraine-EU-Russia format on preparations to the conclusion of the gas contract.

The Head of State stressed that Russian aggression in the east and Russia's occupation of Crimea required the continuation of the international pressure on the Russian Federation. Volodymyr Zelenskyy is hopeful that Budapest would resume support for the European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė who arrived for the inauguration on May 20. The Head of State thanked Mrs. Grybauskaitė for congratulations on assumption of the presidency. He noted that the sitting President of Lithuania was a true and reliable friend of Ukraine.
