Ukraine and Azerbaijan should develop the potential of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the energy sector, as stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

“Our relations must reach a new level. We need to increase the trade turnover and the presence of Ukrainian business in Azerbaijan and Azerbaijani business in Ukraine,” the President said during the negotiations between the delegations of Ukraine and Azerbaijan in Baku.

"We invariably support one another in restoring sovereignty and territorial integrity of our states within internationally recognized borders. We will continue to work together in this direction, both bilaterally and in the framework of international organizations,” the President of Ukraine emphasized.

The Ukrainian-Azerbaijani bilateral documents were signed in Baku in the presence of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The official ceremony of the meeting was held on the square near the residence of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The heads of state watched the warriors of the honor guard company. The national anthems of Ukraine and Azerbaijan were played.

During a visit, the President will have a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and hold negotiations in expanded format. Following the negotiations, a number of interagency and interregional Ukrainian-Azerbaijani documents will be signed, as well as a press conference will be held.

On the Day of Honoring the Participants of the Liquidation of the Consequences of the Chernobyl Disaster, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy laid flowers to the commemorative sign to the Chernobyl Warriors and the memorial mound to the Heroes of Chernobyl.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meeting with Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia. The parties reaffirmed their willingness to further develop the Ukrainian-Georgian strategic partnership.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the construction of the so-called wall on the border with the occupied territory of Donbas is the last and undesirable option of resolving the conflict in the east of the country.
