President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the warriors of the 2nd Battalion of the 101st Separate Guard Brigade of the General Staff named after Colonel General Hennadii Vorobiov.
Battalion commander Artem Vasianovych briefed the Head of State on the tasks his unit is performing to defend Kupyansk – the part of the city where clearing operations against Russian occupiers are currently underway. The commander noted that Russians attempted to enter Kupyansk through gas pipelines but suffered heavy losses.

During the briefing, Artem Vasianovych also provided information on the types of weapons used by the brigade, the work of drone units, and coordination with the Unmanned Systems Forces.
The President congratulated the defenders on Land Forces Day and awarded them the Order “For Courage,” III class, and the Medals “For Saved Life.”
“Thank you for everything you do – to you and your brothers-in-arms. I am very grateful to have this opportunity to personally thank you for defending Kupyansk and the Kupyansk sector. When the Russians boast about some fictional achievements, we take pride in our real warriors and their real accomplishments. The fact that you are holding Kupyansk commands great respect and allows everyone else – diplomats included – to engage in discussions with confidence,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
