Our vyshyvanka unites the country - President during the flashmob on Vyshyvanka Day in Dnipro

President Petro Poroshenko took part in the flashmob on Vyshyvanka Day in Dnipro.

"There are symbols of the Ukrainian nation and Ukrainian people that are no worse than the coat of arms, anthem, flag characterize Ukraine and Ukrainians,” the President said.

“This is our Ukrainian vyshyvanka. Various ornaments - from Zakarpattia to Luhansk region. But it is one. It does not matter whether it was embroidered by mother, or it's a print. But when we see each other in vyshyvanka, we immediately identify - this is a Ukrainian man or a Ukrainian woman," the Head of State noted.

According to the Head of State, today in Dnipro, a Ukrainian outpost since 2014, a fantastic flashmob is being held on Vyshyvanka Day. "A city that did not allow to spread a separatist poison. A city that proved its Ukrainian nature," he added.

The President noted that not only the entire Ukraine, but also the entire world will see  this action. He added that our nation was united by the hard challenges. "Ukrainians are the best nation in the world. We are united and nobody can divide us. Now the Ukrainian church is being united into a single autocephalous Orthodox church," he said.

The purpose of the event is to reproduce the embroidery of historic and ethnographic regions of Ukraine with colored "modules". The flashmob involved 1560 people.
