President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Mihai Popșoi, who took part in the annual meeting of heads of Ukraine’s foreign diplomatic missions, “Restoring Peace and Ukraine’s Leadership,” held in Kyiv.
The Head of State thanked Moldova for its consistent support for Ukraine, our people, and our defense. The President also noted the productive cooperation established between the two countries.
“With regard to the security of our future, I believe that we are very good friends, partners, and neighbors, and we do not forget that,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Mihai Popșoi noted the heroism of the Ukrainian people in resisting Russia’s armed aggression and assured of continued support for Ukraine.
“We are trying to do everything we can. We guarantee that during our presidency of the Council of Europe, Ukraine will be our priority. Whenever we have an opportunity at the United Nations or on any other international platform, we stand with you, because we know that you stand with us,” he emphasized.
During the meeting, the parties discussed European integration, security, and mutual assistance. The President is convinced that this visit demonstrates that Ukraine and Moldova share many foreign policy priorities. It is therefore important to continue moving forward together on all common objectives.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Mihai Popșoi also discussed energy and infrastructure projects, including those related to logistics.
