President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the President of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda.
The Ukrainian leader congratulated Poland on the presidential elections and Karol Nawrocki on his victory. Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that continued support from Poland is important not only for Ukraine but for all of Europe.
Andrzej Duda reaffirmed his consistent support for Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO.
“You have been our friend from the very beginning – even before the full-scale war began. I’m grateful to be able to count on our friendship. I thank the Polish people for their support,” said Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
The Presidents of Ukraine and Poland discussed in detail bilateral relations, diplomatic efforts, and the importance of exerting pressure on Russia to achieve a just and lasting peace. Both leaders share the same position: it is crucial to increase joint pressure from the United States, Europe, and other countries around the world on Russia and to continue seeking solutions that will help stop its aggression.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also invited Andrzej Duda to visit Ukraine. The President of Poland confirmed that he would make the visit before the end of his term.
