The EU asked Ukraine to repair the Druzhba oil pipeline, which had been destroyed by Russia. We have repaired it. We hope the EU will also deliver on the agreed commitments.

No one can say now what the situation will be next winter. We hope diplomacy will work, but we must be prepared for any scenario. That is why, for each of our regions, facilities have been identified that require special protection, as well as those that require priority restoration after the strikes this winter.

The investigation into the attack, along with the verification of all facts regarding the killer, his condition and how he obtained the weapon is being conducted jointly by the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine. The minister will make personnel decisions across the entire chain of command. There is also a need to review response protocols for such situations, as well as the recruitment and training of patrol officers. 

All available information about him and the motives behind his actions is being thoroughly investigated. Every detail must be verified. Investigators are working on several versions of what may have happened. All his electronic devices, his phone, and all his contacts will be examined. The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the Prosecutor General of Ukraine will inform the public.

We all need to work together to remove the dangers in Hormuz. But it must be done in a way that helps protect freedom of navigation everywhere in the world – not just in Hormuz.

Virtually every day, at both the political and military levels, we are in communication with our partners to strengthen air defense. We are seeking anti-ballistic capabilities. Most importantly, we are moving toward conditions in which we will be able to produce air defense in Ukraine and together with our partners – all the necessary formats, systems, missiles, and so on.

The Netherlands is among the greatest defenders of life thanks to its support for Ukraine. You significantly helped us with air defense and other needs – from combat aviation to critically important political and financial support. We especially value the consistent annual assistance provided by the Netherlands to our state and its resilience.

The world did not look away from this war. It did not hand Ukraine over to a predator. And that has changed a lot – not only, by the way, not only for Ukraine.

We work together with Italy and with partners to guarantee security in every sense of the word and to ensure that relations between us are always friendly and meaningful.
