Volodymyr Zelenskyy Met with the Marshal of the Polish Senate in Warsaw

In Warsaw, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the Marshal of the Polish Senate, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska.

The Head of State thanked her for Poland’s principled stance on Ukraine’s territorial integrity, effective cooperation with the Verkhovna Rada, and support for Ukrainian initiatives, including those related to the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about diplomatic efforts to achieve a dignified and lasting peace. The sides discussed cooperation with the U.S. Congress and the importance of transatlantic unity on sanctions and the recognition of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.

The meeting also addressed matters of historical memory. Both sides noted progress in this area and practical results achieved. On behalf of the Polish people, the Marshal of the Senate thanked the President of Ukraine for having the possibility to honor the memory of their ancestors, who were reburied following exhumations in Puzhnyky, Ternopil region.

Additionally, Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska expressed gratitude to Ukraine for welcoming freed civilian citizens from Belarus.
