During a working trip to the Ternopil region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy inspected several facilities built in the framework of the “Great Construction” National Program.
In particular, the Head of State visited the “Ternopil Water Arena” Rowing and Water Sports Center and a newly built kindergarten in the village of Bila.
During the presentation of the arena, Volodymyr Zelenskyy was told that this is only the first stage of the facility, and it would be good if the state supported the construction of the second stage with a diversion canal. Volodymyr Trush, Head of the Ternopil regional state administration, stressed that this would allow using the center not only for training or local competitions, but also for international competitions, as all requirements for such facilities were taken into account during design and construction. The President spoke in support of such an initiative.
"I am glad that the first stage of this beautiful arena has been completed, but we need to finish everything. In order for this arena to be of international class, it is necessary to add a little more state money,” the President said during a conversation with the media.
He expressed the opinion that it is possible to complete the facility next year.
"To have an international arena, so that your beautiful land, the village of Bila, which I saw today, could host athletes and competitions of the highest level," Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted.
"As for schools and kindergartens, I think that all this will be appreciated by people, parents who live in certain places of the Ternopil region," the President added, noting that today he saw a modern kindergarten in the village of Bila.
He praised the quality of construction work.
"Everything is of sufficient quality. Sometimes it happens that not everything is completed or there is no playground for children, but here everything is done at the highest level," the Head of State said and expressed confidence that a school would also be built in the village later.
