President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen.
The Head of State informed her about his recent conversation with U.S. President Donald Trump and European leaders, as well as the current diplomatic opportunities. Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of all of free Europe standing together with Ukraine on the path to a real and just end to the war.
The President thanked Ursula von der Leyen for her clear understanding that a united Europe must be involved in all processes related to Ukraine. After all, Ukraine is already in the process of accession negotiations with the European Union and will become a member of the EU. The European Union will also play a major role in the reconstruction of our country after the war. This will be one of the largest economic projects for the whole of Europe in decades.
The two leaders also focused on Ukraine’s path to EU integration and on finding a solution to open the first negotiating cluster.
