Dear Mr. President!
Our esteemed guests, dear attendees, and journalists!
Today, we have an important day, in my view, in the history of our state, in the history of our states. This is the first visit in almost 35 years – since we regained our independence – the first visit by a President of Honduras to Ukraine. We are grateful for this. Thank you for this decision. It is a great honor for us.

I want to thank you right away, Mr. President, for the fact that we began your visit to Ukraine by paying tribute to our fallen heroes at our Wall of Remembrance honoring Ukrainian heroes. And that is truly a great honor for us. Thank you for that.
Ukraine is fighting so that the whole world unites around our independence, around our struggle for independence. And of course, since the beginning of the war, Europe has united immediately around Ukraine. As did the United States and Canada, countries with which we have historically very close ties. Ukraine worked for a long time to build support in Latin America, support in Central America, support in Asia, support in the Middle East, and in other countries – important countries and continents. I want to personally thank you and your team for changing Honduras’ course – you are supporting us on all key geopolitical platforms. That matters to us. On the one hand, Ukraine must defend itself, and we need air defenses to protect the lives of our people. On the other hand, we need the same level of protection for our independence, our geopolitical interests. I want to thank you for that. This is very important for us – for Ukraine, for our independence. Part of our Government is here today. We will discuss trade turnover. It is still small between our countries, but it is growing. I believe what matters most are the trends. They are positive. I am confident we will discuss important areas of our bilateral relations today – the agro-industrial sector, the economy as a whole, digitalization – our digital direction. I know your team and your country are interested in this. We are ready to help you here. And also security. Security is the number one priority. In terms of security today – in mil-tech and drone technologies – Ukraine is one of the strongest in the world. And I know you are interested in this. We will discuss all of these areas. Good to see you.
