The Head of State thanked the NB8 countries for standing with Ukraine throughout all these years of Russia’s full-scale aggression. The President emphasized that everyone understands Russia’s plans for this fall and winter. Ballistic missiles remain the main threat.

We, the Heads of State and Government of Ukraine and the Nordic-Baltic States (NB8) – Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Sweden – have gathered in Kyiv on the occasion of the National Flag Day of Ukraine and to mark the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and President of Finland Alexander Stubb took part in a roundtable on Ukrainian-Finnish cooperation in the defense industries, organized with the participation of the Ukrainian Council of Defense Industry. In the presence of the two leaders, three memorandums of cooperation were signed.

Only an undivided Ukraine will be able to achieve its strong peace. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this during his participation in the National Prayer Breakfast.

After the National Prayer Breakfast, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with U.S. Senators Richard Blumenthal and James Lankford, who also attended the event.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy congratulated Ukrainians on Ukraine's National Flag Day and took part in the ceremony of raising the blue-and-yellow flag on the grounds of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War Memorial Complex.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska visited the interactive “That Day” exhibition marking the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Ukraine’s independence.

According to the Head of State, the legislation should first be reviewed so that veterans are not simply one of the categories eligible for benefits. In addition, veterans’ families, as well as the families of fallen warriors, prisoners of war, and those missing in action, must be full-fledged subjects of veteran policy.

During the meeting, they discussed the importance of strengthening Ukraine’s air defense, which is an absolute priority, particularly when it comes to anti-ballistic protection.

The Ukrainian leader briefed his counterpart on the situation with Russian strikes against Ukraine. Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine appreciates the French President’s readiness to help communicate with other partners that have the necessary missiles for Patriot systems. They also discussed French air defense capabilities. Emmanuel Macron expressed his condolences over the lives lost.
