On the occasion of the 975th anniversary of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the opening of the exhibition “Spiritual Treasures of the Nation. The Sacristy of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra,” where he also met with UNESCO Director-General Khaled El-Enany, who visited Ukraine for the first time in this position.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a phone call with President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree enacting the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose sanctions on individuals and companies involved in the illegal export of Ukrainian grain, as well as on vessels used for this purpose.

The meeting identified the main shortfalls and additional needs for developing the most innovative and technologically advanced types of weapons, accelerating the production of strike capabilities and new types of defensive weapons, including jet-powered interceptors. The intelligence agencies provided updated information on Russia’s plans. Ukraine is preparing its response and asymmetric countermeasures.

The Head of State emphasized that the implementation of the Tysiachovesna initiative, designed to foster the creation of new, high-quality Ukrainian cultural products, is a great result and a success for Ukraine. According to the President, out of more than 3,000 creative applications, 1,227 projects made it to the final and are already bringing people and teams together.

In Ivano-Frankivsk, at a meeting of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with representatives of all mountain territorial communities in the Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Chernivtsi, and Zakarpattia regions to discuss issues requiring prompt solutions.

Among them are warriors, veterans, and people with disabilities. They are competing in eight sports: table tennis, archery, darts, basketball shooting, exercises on a rowing machine, kettlebell snatch and jerk, static weight holding, and barbell press.

At the city’s Memorial Square, the Head of State placed memorial candles at the stele honoring fallen Ukrainian warriors and observed a minute of silence in memory of Ukraine’s fallen defenders.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainians, and young people in particular, must have greater economic and social opportunities. Only substantial attention and support from the state will ensure that people want to stay in Ukraine, live here, and plan their future at home.

The Head of State emphasized that relations between Ukraine and Armenia are now becoming even more constructive, and that it is important to maintain a continuous dialogue between the leaders.
