President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Prime Minister of the Netherlands Rob Jetten in Ankara. During the meeting, the leaders signed an agreement under the Drone Deal framework.
The document provides for cooperation in the areas of security, the defense industry, military expertise, cybersecurity, technology, research and development, and the exchange of experience. The Government of the Netherlands has committed to providing Ukraine with military support worth €9 billion through 2029.
“We are very pleased that our teams have prepared the Drone Deal between our countries. And, of course, this will help with exports, and it will help with joint production, the exchange of ideas, and the exchange of experience that we have,” the Head of State emphasized.
The President briefed the Prime Minister on the frontline situation and the shortage of missiles for air defense systems. The leaders discussed work toward creating European anti-ballistic capabilities and obtaining licenses from the United States to produce Patriot systems. They also discussed cooperation between Ukrainian and Dutch defense companies.
Special attention was paid to energy support and Ukraine’s preparations for winter. Our country is grateful for €23 million in grant assistance for the purchase of imported gas, as well as for the equipment provided. The leaders agreed on further support for Ukraine.
