On the Day of Medical Workers of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with combat and civilian medical workers at one of the healthcare centers under the Ministry of Internal Affairs and presented them with state awards.

In particular, the conversation focused on the bill that guarantees the independence and effectiveness of Ukraine’s anti-corruption agencies. The Head of State thanked the European Commission for the provided expertise. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ursula von der Leyen share the same vision: it is important that the bill be adopted without delay, as early as next week.

The Head of State informed his counterpart about Ukraine’s key defense needs, first and foremost, the reinforcement of air defense. The leaders discussed the supply of additional missiles for the SAMP/T and Crotale systems. They also specifically addressed the issue of financing the production of Ukrainian drones of all types. Emmanuel Macron confirmed his readiness to assist.

Today, several reports have already been made regarding our frontlines and our operations. The Armed Forces, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the intelligence agencies – I thank everyone for their long-range effectiveness.

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, held a series of meetings and consultations with international partners on current issues related to security, reforms, the peace process, and coordination of bilateral relations at various levels, including in the field of military cooperation.

I am grateful to the European leaders. I want to thank the United States of America – the pressure on the aggressor is not weakening, and that is crucial. We are preparing more unpleasant surprises for the enemy.
