Ukraine has moved the date of Children’s Day to November 20 to mark it together with the international community – on World Children’s Day. This is stated in Presidential Decree № 355/2025, signed today by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Julia Klöckner discussed proposals that could help bring the war to a just and lasting peace. The Head of State emphasized that Russia still shows no intention of taking steps toward peace.

The Head of State thanked Franklin Graham for the humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine, including support for Ukrainian children, people forced to flee their homes, and assistance to medical institutions.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

The Head of State thanked German businessmen for continuing their operations in Ukraine during the full-scale war. The President emphasized that economic support for Ukraine during Russian aggression is important and called on German businesses to expand their presence in our country, particularly by implementing investment projects.

During a meeting in Berlin, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz discussed diplomatic opportunities for bringing peace closer, increasing pressure on Russia, strengthening air defense, and investing in Ukrainian drone production.

The leaders will discuss further defense support for Ukraine. The President of Ukraine and the Chancellor of Germany will pay special attention to steps toward establishing a just and durable peace, joint efforts within the Coalition of the Willing, and intensifying sanctions pressure on Russia.

On the Day of the Special Operations Forces, which Ukraine will now celebrate annually on May 27, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with SOF warriors and the families of fallen Heroes and presented state awards.

The Head of State thanked him for organizing the European Political Community Summit, which took place in Tirana on May 16. The President specifically noted that support for Ukraine and efforts to strengthen it remained in focus throughout the event.

The Head of State emphasized that thanks to the warriors of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, Ukraine maintains reliable and systematic communications. In addition, these servicemembers actively contribute to national defense on the front lines alongside all other components of Ukraine’s Security and Defense Forces.
