President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, First Lady Olena Zelenska, President of France Emmanuel Macron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Keir Starmer, Federal Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, and Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk commemorated the fallen Ukrainian defenders at Independence Square in Kyiv.

Ukraine is ready for a reliable and lasting ceasefire for at least 30 days. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during an online address at the JEF Member States Summit held in Oslo.

The leaders discussed the potential for Ukrainian-German cooperation across various areas and agreed that their teams would work on implementing concrete proposals. Special attention was given to prospects for cooperation. The Chancellor assured that Germany will continue to support Ukraine.

According to the draft law, the President will appoint the Military Ombudsman and their deputies. A Military Ombudsman’s Office will also be established as an auxiliary body under the President to carry out the functions of civilian democratic oversight in the security and defense sector, as provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On National Security of Ukraine.”

On the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in the Second World War of 1939–1945, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and First Lady Olena Zelenska commemorated the fallen.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held an online conversation with students and faculty of Ecuadorian higher education institutions: San Francisco de Quito University, Casa Grande University, Espíritu Santo University, Simón Bolívar Andean University, and ESPOL Polytechnic University.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Mathias Cormann and thanked him for the unwavering support of Ukraine.

On the Infantry Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with warriors and the families of fallen defenders and presented the highest state awards. He also handed over battle flags, ribbons of the honorary distinction “For Courage and Bravery,” and ribbons bearing honorary brigade names to unit commanders, and conferred higher officer ranks.
