One of the topics raised during the meeting was the possibility of granting relocated businesses the right to choose in which community they pay taxes. The meeting also addressed increasing the percentage of workers in frontline region enterprises eligible for deferral from mobilization.

​During a working trip to the Sumy region on the anniversary of the start of the Kursk operation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, Minister of Defense Denys Shmyhal, and Commander of the Air Assault Forces Oleh Apostol.

The President thanked the warriors and their brothers-in-arms for defending Ukraine across various frontline sectors and paid special tribute to their contribution to the defense of the Sumy region.

At the command post of the 2nd Air Assault Battalion of the 80th Halytska Separate Air Assault Brigade, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented state awards to warriors and received reports from commanders on the operational situation in the unit’s area of responsibility.

In the Sumy region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with the warriors of the 225th Separate Assault Regiment at the unit’s command post.

President Zelenskyy provided an update on the situation in Kharkiv and other Ukrainian cities suffering from brutal Russian attacks, as well as on the frontline and the needs of Ukrainian defenders. Special attention during the conversation was given to diplomatic efforts with international partners aimed at further strengthening support for Ukraine.​

The leaders discussed enhancing Ukraine’s air defense capabilities and increasing coordination with partners. Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke about a new instrument for the procurement of U.S. weapons – PURL – which Ukraine is implementing jointly with NATO member states, and shared its initial results.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a phone call with Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković.

The Head of State thanked President Trump for his personal efforts toward a just and lasting peace. Ukraine fully supports the urgent need to stop the killing. This issue was central to the discussion.
