Today, the Prime Minister of Bulgaria and I signed a security agreement between our countries. In fact, our teams have been working on this for quite a long time. I am very pleased that we now have this ten-year agreement between our states.

The agreement stipulates that Bulgaria will continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine and develop defense-industrial cooperation. Bulgaria is interested in co-producing drones and ammunition under the SAFE program. Joint production facilities will be established in both Ukraine and Bulgaria, and joint training exercises will also be conducted.

The Head of State thanked the Prime Minister for the visit and noted that the agreement provides for continued military support for Ukraine. Particular attention during the meeting was given to joint defense production, including drones.

According to the declaration, the income of the Head of State and his family members amounted to UAH 15,805,828, including UAH 8,364,921 from the redemption of domestic government bonds.

There are already agreements in place – landmark agreements: Ukraine and Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. We are also working with Jordan and Kuwait.

The President’s wife noted that Ukraine is seeking every possible way to influence Russia and thanked the United States and U.S. First Lady Melania Trump for their advocacy and involvement in returning Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

The Head of State briefed him on his meetings and negotiations in the Middle East and the Gulf region that took place in recent days.

The most important issues discussed by the Head of State with the leaders of Middle Eastern countries were security and mutual support for Ukraine’s partners in the region.

“Ukraine is open to joint work to defend against drone and missile attacks. The reality is that war is changing, and therefore technologies must be constantly adapted to new challenges on the battlefield. From our own experience, we know that without a unified system, it is simply impossible to establish comprehensive protection of people and critical infrastructure,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

During the ceremony, five unknown defenders who gave their lives for the Motherland were laid to rest.
