The attack destroyed an entire section of the building, from the first to the ninth floor. The Russian missile claimed the lives of 24 people, including three children.

The leaders discussed diplomatic efforts to bring an end to Russia’s war against Ukraine and Europe’s role in this process. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the importance of transatlantic unity in any steps toward peace.

In Bucharest, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with President of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs.

On the sidelines of the Bucharest Nine Summit, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with President of Poland Karol Nawrocki.

Ukraine and Lithuania will develop defense-industrial and technological cooperation, including in the areas of air and missile defense and unmanned systems. This also includes the prospect of localizing in Lithuania the production of long-range strike, naval, interceptor, and bomber drones in the shortest possible timeframe.

The President emphasized the need to build a multi-level protection system, particularly against drones and combined air attacks. Ukrainian expertise is already helping partners in the Gulf countries, the Middle East, and the South Caucasus, and work has also begun in Europe.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed decrees enacting the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the imposition of sanctions targeting Russian individuals and companies supplying goods for Russia’s military-industrial complex, as well as on the extension of restrictive measures that were due to expire.
