President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Finance of Germany Lars Klingbeil. This was his first visit to Ukraine since assuming office, which Lars Klingbeil began by honoring the fallen Ukrainian heroes at the Wall of Remembrance on Mykhailivska Square.

The leaders discussed diplomatic efforts to achieve a genuine and just peace, the strengthening of Ukraine’s air defense, continued energy cooperation, work with partners on security guarantees, and the return of Ukrainian children abducted by Russia.

This year, the event gathered 1,200 people: service members and family members of fallen heroes, volunteers, chaplains, public figures, and representatives of churches and religious organizations.

Ukraine marked the 34th anniversary of its restored independence, with foreign leaders extending their congratulations to our country on the occasion. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for the warm wishes and for the support of Ukraine.
