The President informed Mark Carney about all the details of Ukraine’s diplomatic efforts and ongoing communication with partners. Coordination of joint decisions and next steps, as well as discussions of possible meeting formats in the near future are underway.

During the meeting, the issues raised by Ukrainian warriors on the frontline, which the Head of State had instructed the government to address, were reviewed. The first decisions have already been made.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy thanked Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud for his support and willingness to contribute to peace. The leaders agreed that the teams of Ukraine and Saudi Arabia will coordinate all necessary steps.

The leaders discussed in detail all important issues of bilateral cooperation and the overall diplomatic situation.

The President of Ukraine informed his counterpart about contacts with partners. All are equally committed to a genuine end to the war and to effective diplomacy. Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ilham Aliyev discussed communication with the United States, European countries, and the key principles that can bring peace closer.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that international law, the fundamental principles of the UN Charter, and common sense must prevail in the world – namely, respect for the borders and territorial integrity of states, as well as for the dignity of every nation.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ulf Kristersson agreed to continue coordinating with other partners to strengthen their positions.
